Marcus de la Fleur of the Conservation Design Forum has transformed his home into a virtual watershed friendly landscaping demonstration site. Mr. de la Fleur's 250 square foot green roof is pitched, not flat like most green roofs in our area. This Platinum Level Certified LEED building has both a green roof and roof-top solar panels (photo at left).

Chicago Center for Green Technology (CCGT)
445 North Sacramento Boulevard, Chicago, IL
CCGT's green roof covers one-third of the building's total roof surface and is planted with low-growing sedum. CCGT is the third building in the United States to be designed using the highest standards of green technology available. Visitors are welcome to explore the public areas of the building and campus. Brochures for self-guided tours are available in the building.
