Independence Grove
Millennia Plaza
16400 W. Buckley Rd., Libertyville, IL

For property owners who prefer manicured landscapes, Independence Grove's Millennia Plaza offers a great example of an artistic, stylized approach to landscape design using only native plants. Located southwest of the visitors center, the plaza and the surrounding amphitheater, fountain, wooden pergola, and gazebo areas are all landscaped with native perennials, shrubs, and trees. Fun fact: this native plant landscape is managed almost exclusively by a corps of dedicated volunteers.

Visit the Visitors Center web site to learn more.
